Geographic Range

This species is known only from the type locality at 3,770 m asl, 15 km southeast of Maraypata, near Laguna Gwengway, province of Ambo, region of Huánuco, Peru  (Lehr and Aguilar 2003). It has not been found at other nearby localities surveyed during the same expedition, suggesting perhaps that this may be a geographically restricted species (E. Lehr pers. comm. September 2013). However, no new surveys have been conducted at the type locality or surrounding area since this expedition (E. Lehr pers. comm. August 2013).
