Fall and Winter Tasks

Welcome to our new iNaturalist project! In October to December, we will be focusing on collecting coast live oak acorns and coyotebrush seed for propagation in the native plant nursery and later planting at restoration sites. We are also identifying woody species suitable for future cuttings. We'd love your help on the first Wednesdays volunteer day or anytime on your own if you follow the pertinent protocol and have completed the volunteer forms . If you haven't had a chance to talk to us or fill out the forms, please feel free to help us find future seed and cutting locations using this project. Simply add your observations to the PRNS Seed Collection and Cuttings project. This way, we will know the specific locations of the collections and use that to help identify suitable restoration sites for the propagated plants. If you have any questions, contact Roxanne at roxanne_foss (at) nps.gov.
