two early October events in San Jose and Los Gatos

The Youth Science Institute has two events coming up in the first week of October: a talk on bats + guided bat walk, and the family-friendly Wildlife Festival, with live animal showcases and various hands-on activities. Chronologically:

31st Annual Wildlife Festival
11am-4pm on October 2nd at Alum Rock Park in east San Jose. Free, donations appreciated ($6 parking).
