Welcome

Welcome to our Winnakee Nature Preserve. We're hosting this Invasive Plant BioBlitz this summer to both help introduce new folks to our beautiful Preserve as well as to help generate interest and excitement about sharing field experiences with a bonded group.

We hope that you'll register for at least one of the event days (Saturday or Sunday, August 19 or 20... maybe both?) and we expect that you'll leave feeling relaxed, enriched and hopefully with a few new friends. We're focusing the survey work of the event on the more common invasive plant species found within the area, but also want to provide a rich and ecologically educational weekend for all attendees; of all ages. We'll have live examples of the invasive plants that you'll be looking for, to help with identification and will also have wildlife educators come over the lunch break, to enrich us with live examples of some of our regional fauna.

So visit our home page to register and spend a bit of time ...more ↓
