This project is about the bats of Zambia, and intended to contribute to the understanding of species diversity and distribution. Zambia is home to 65 known bat species, and in terms of bat species and their conservation, Zambia is party to one of the most spectacular, and largest, mammal migrations in the world: the straw-coloured fruit bats (Eidolon helvum) travel annually over hundreds of kilometres to congregate in Kasanka, in the Northern Province.
