Tall Ironweed is a tentative ID. IS based upon occurrence in a wet soil alluvial habitat and published range maps. However, V. noveboracensis is found in an adjacent county and grows on similar sites. I would appreciate your thoughts on the distribution and abundance of these two species in the Southern Appalachians.
