female, i believe. caught in an office in my building and released outside - just what management guidelines suggest here: http://ipm.ucanr.edu/PMG/PESTNOTES/pn74143.html
Nella portiera dell'auto in cascina
My wife found this adult male in our apartment building. Also posted to BG here:
Spider found inside home.
Seen the pattern and the eyes' disposition I think this is the first Zoropsis sp. I've ever seen, and seen the small opisthosoma I guess it's a male (the pedipalps aren't so clear). Body lenght <= 8 mm. Found on the external wall of a building.
As far as I know, it's hard to discrime between the three italian species.
Z. oertzeni lives in Italy but it's typical of Eastern Mediterrean, so I don't know if it lives in Western Alps too.
Z. spinimana is a widespread species, but the dimensions are 1o - 12 mm male / 15 - 18 female. Too big.
Z. media is typical of Western Mediterrean, but in Italy was found only in other area... the dimensions are similar to "the mine", 9 - 11 male and female.
If this specimen is not an adult male looking for females, the question about dimensions ends.
