Description

Locality: St Marys Bay at Westhaven Beach, Auckland 1010/1011.

Habitat: Seashore. In wrack at the back of a very small sandy beach.

Identification: Propsocus pulchripennis (Perkins, 1899). Brachypterous female.

Elipsocidae is a family of Psocoptera belonging to the suborder Homilopsocidea. Member of the family have a free areola postica. Many species are apterous. The family includes about 130 species in 26 genera.
