Description

This species occurs in cloud forest areas around Palawan at an altitude of 1000 meters and up. Specimens were found both on the ground up to 2 meter high in dwarf oak trees. This is the first confirmed sighting of this species in over 10 years and additionally this is a new locality for this species. These are the first pictures of this species. This is a male calling.

The Palawan Toadlet (Pelophryne albotaeniata) is a species of toad in the Bufonidae family. It is endemic to the Philippines. Its natural habitats are subtropical or tropical dry forests, subtropical or tropical moist lowland forests, subtropical or tropical moist montane forests, rivers, and intermittent rivers. It is threatened by habitat loss.
