This frog and numerous other amphibians and reptiles were observed in Perinet Reserve. Also seen were many endemic invertebrates, mammals and birds.
Boophis brachychir is a species of frog in the Mantellidae family. It is endemic to Madagascar. Its natural habitats are subtropical or tropical dry forests, subtropical or tropical moist lowland forests, subtropical or tropical moist montanes, moist savanna, rivers, and heavily degraded former forest. It is threatened by habitat loss.
