This frog was located through the sound of its calls. It was perched up in some tall reeds about 2 feet off the ground. It kept calling even when approached. The frog kept its throat sac inflated even when it wasn't making any sound. Call index for this species was 3 at this location.
This frog fell out of the tree onto the ground in front of us. Clara jumped and caught the frog. The toes pads were very sticky, and the frog was quite warm.
2-3 individuals heard calling; first of the season in this wetland and second day this season at the preserve; habiatat is an alder wetland flooded by beavers and a raised culvert in 2012
