Micrixalus is a genus of frogs from that are endemic to India. They are monotypic within family Micrixalidae. Before being raised to the family level it was considered to be subfamily Micrixalinae in Ranidae. Both the genus and the family are sometimes known by the ambiguous common name "tropical frogs".
