The Dusky torrent frog (Micrixalus fuscus) is a species of small frog found in dense forested hill streams in the Western Ghats of India.
malabar torrent frog n very rare.. tough to spot due to the color blending This is endemic to western ghats, ASL 600 mts, found only in monsoon.. but found in the winter, at 34 deg C and this unique frog.. can twist it's leg n walk.. like the way it folds its toes inside... as seen in the pic

Micrixalus is a genus of true frogs from tropical Asia. They are mostly found in riverine habitats in rocks and vegetation amid small forest streams. They are sometimes known by the ambiguous common name "torrent frogs".
