Eurycea longicauda is a species of lungless salamander. It is endemic to the eastern United States. This is a "cave salamander" that frequents twilight zones of caves, occaisonally found away from precipices under debris, rocks and seepage areas with moss. Ground color varies from tan, yellow, orange-red and even bright red.
