Description

This is a wild tokay gecko that has been living in my house since it was a hatchling, we have the front door open everyday, but it prefers to stay inside, usually hiding behind the TV during the day and venturing out at night. Very shy and nervous compared with the common house gecko's that live here also.

The Tokay Gecko (Gekko gecko) is a nocturnal arboreal gecko, ranging from northeast India and Bangladesh, throughout Southeast Asia, to Indonesia and western New Guinea. Its native habitat is rainforest trees and cliffs, and it also frequently adapts to rural human habitations, roaming walls and ceilings at night in search of insect prey.
