Description from Wikipedia

The leopard gecko (Eublepharis macularius) is a nocturnal ground-dwelling gecko found in the deserts of Pakistan, northern India, Veietnam, and parts of Iran. Unlike most geckos, it possesses eyelids. It has become well-established in captivity, particularly through the pet industry. Leopard geckos are considered one of the most common pets in the reptile industry today because of their cheap care and limited housing requirements.
