Cruising around backyard after dusk...several seen...have bat nesting house close by
Really cool bat expert at the end of the Muir Woods walk. He was netting and taking stats re: how bats use/pass through a redwood forest. Males and females migrate separately.
Watched brown bat flying around in daylight (I've never had the privilege of seeing that before). Stiff breeze with bright evening sunlight. observed flying for over 25-minutes. looked like it was having fun gathering an early meal of bugs.
although it looks like the myotis is going for the mozzie - Im sure its just a fluke.
