I was running down Lakeshore Path at 8:54 pm and saw a coyote walk across the path towards the track past the band practice field.
3 young coyotes at our back door (stills from video taken by our house sitter)
Young coyote drinking water, attempting to hunt a mourning dove, and generally wandering around our backyard (in the herb bed!)
I had a brief encounter with one of these distinctive animals on the nature trail around 0645. No photos.
soooo close to being a harbor seal

Prancing through the prairie
The tracks tell the story of a coyote attacking a white tailed deer fawn and then being subsequently chased by the mother (I witnessed the event). The coyote was running off with the fawn in his mouth when the doe charged him (see the gallop tracks) and forced him to release the fawn (which was unharmed). The doe proceeded to chase the coyote for 2 minutes before returning to find her fawn.
What else would make skat this large?
