Lots of bones around this raptor/owl roost site
clear front and hind left
Killed by neighbor's free-ranging cat, which probably caught the vole in the field between E. 52nd Street and Route 77.
not a mouse, not a mole
The tracks of a large vole species. I suspect most likely Townsend's vole, which grows to the size of a medium Rattus species sometimes.
lower jaw bone
The hopping pattern of a vole along a muddy creek.
Several possible vole species here including Montane vole (M. montanus), and sagebrush vole (Lemmiscus curtatus).
