Medium sized colony of A. speciosa consisting of 10+ clones in roadside ditch in slightly moist soil. Originally observed May 30, 2015.
Not sure what this plant is other than a cop roams I think. It is on the shores of lake ellesmere and is found in clusters of 4-6 plants. I am planning on putting some pitfall traps around the base of some of them to try and assess invertebrate life around them
Magnoliopsida is a valid botanical name for a class of flowering plants. By definition the class will include the family Magnoliaceae, but its circumscription can otherwise vary, being more inclusive or less inclusive depending upon the classification system being discussed.
