Growing in currently neglected vegetable garden walkway for past two years. Have been working around it since learned the importance of milkweeds.
Plant caught my eye because an orange/black milkweed bug was on it. Couldn't get photo of bug, so checked leaf of plant for milky sap. Yes. Assume it must be Asclepias sp.
Several milkweed bug nymphs were on the plant.
In same area but different location of August 2013 observation:
9 plants, garden, at least 6 monarchs, and one queen caterpillar.
Planted in a restoration
