I went snorkeling in Tomales Bay seeking this slug ... and I found it! So awesome.
This hairy slug is seasonally abundant . At some times of the year they can be seen in huge numbers and then not a single one is seen again for a long while. The tangle at the upper right corner could be its eggs, we're not sure.

These pair of hairy sea hares are probably making new hares. It also shows the variation in body patterns on this sea hare.
