One of the largest sea stars I have seen. This one has been in our local tide pools for a very long time. It is almost certain that I will see this particular sea star every time I go tide pooling at my usual spot!
The smallest sunflower seastar ever!
It was so amazing to find this... A few months later found it again and it had grown!!!
Found at the south end rocky spit of Constellation Marine Park 4/27/13 IMAG2464 Sunflower star.
They were huge! We found a bunch of them clustered together, each was larger than my head.
