Rare at the Park, found along north side of open meadow.
Spur valerian dominating the rock walls along Dyers Pass Road. Both the pink and white flowered variants are present.

Can't resist yet another post of this species: a feast for the eyes at any stage. Of course I know it's not supposed to be here....
Anomalously, one was brave enough to hazard blooming in december.
The Caprifoliaceae or honeysuckle family are a clade consisting of about 800dicotyledonous flowering plants, with a nearly cosmopolitan distribution; centres of diversity are found in eastern North America and eastern Asia, while they are absent in tropical and southern Africa.
