Wet Meadow depression east of Josephine Lake next to a smaller lake. Stream runs through site. Really wet. Pedicularis, Tofieldia, and Carex dominates wet part. Lakeside margin dominated by Salix and ferns. Evidence of past fire. Granitic boulders. Elevation: 7308ft.
Along trailside to Josephine Lake, mid-mountain, mid-slope. Soils are bare mineral granitics. Sub-alpine forest with fire scars. Early phenology for time of year, dry.

The Caprifoliaceae or honeysuckle family are a clade consisting of about 800dicotyledonous flowering plants, with a nearly cosmopolitan distribution; centres of diversity are found in eastern North America and eastern Asia, while they are absent in tropical and southern Africa.
