I watched its blue dorsal stripe and checkered red and black tail disappear into the brush on the side of the trail. Damnit.
There has been discussion among herpetologists as to whether this is T.sirtalis or T.elegans but I also have photos of the chin shields that show longer rear than front chin shields and note 7 upper labials .
