Description from Wikipedia

Streptanthus is a genus within the mustard family, Brassicaceae. There are 40 known species within the Streptanthus genus, which species are distributed in the southwestern U.S. as far north as Northern California and as far south as northern Mexico. The common name for this genus is Jewelflower. Twenty-four of the species and eleven lesser taxa occur in California, thirty-two of which are California endemics; seventeen of these California taxa are classified as rare plants.
