The family and I went on a trip to Santa Barbara for a getaway weekend. We had finished eating some dinner and were finding our way back to our hotel when drove past this gigantic tree. It was too late and the kid was asleep so we promised to venture back the next day. I remember seeing a episode of "California's Gold" with Huell Howser and he had visited this tree, but I had forgotten all about it until we happen to pass by. We returned the next day to check out this massive tree. It was truly a piece of California's Gold, wow.
