Poa annua, or annual meadow grass, is a widespread low-growing, tufted, annual plant in temperate climates. 'Poa' is greek for fodder. It is one of the sweetest grasses for green fodder, but less useful as hay. OTher names include annual bluegrass, dward meadowgrass, low speargrass, May grass.
