Water avens (Geum rivale), Pas de Peyrol, France
This wildflower was native to Belgium, but can't be found there growing in the wild anymore, at least not in Flanders. In the Netherlands, it is on the red list as a 'seriously threatened' plant.
This picture was taken in my natural garden, where the plant seems to thrive rather well in the wildflower meadow.
Geum rivale, the Water Avens, is a flowering plant of the family Rosaceae. Other names for the plant are Nodding Avens, Drooping Avens, Cure All and Water Flower.
