This fungus is small and black. There were no other ones around. The gills small like bleach when moved/touched.
Orange Mycena usually grows on fallen beech or other hardwood logs.This cluster is still young; the stems will lengthen and caps will spread. Orange Mycena is one of the most noticeable and striking of the Spring fungi.

These teeny tiny reddish mushrooms were found growing in a small hole in the log on which the oyster mushroom was found. When the cap was broken off, it leaked a red fluid, which was a good indicator of its species. At full size, these mushrooms are about 3 to 4 inches tall and the caps are about 4 centimeters wide.
The Mycenaceae are a family of fungi in the order Agaricales. This is one of several families that were separated from the Tricholomataceae as a result of phylogenetic analyses. Taxa in the Mycenaceae are saprobic, have a cosmopolitan distribution, and are found in almost all ecological zones.
