Description

This has to be the oddest observation I have ever posted. During a Bio-Blitz for John McLaren Park I encountered this dead hummingbird nestled in a calla lily. The only explanations I could offer was that someone found the dead bird and figured it best to rest the expired bolt of lighting in the inflorescence that it had spent much of it's life admiring. Or the poor little bugger could have had a midair heart attack, finally done in by moving its tiny little wings short of the speed of light. Fell out of the sky and landed squarely into the lily. Whatever did happen it made for a very peculiar observation.
