En el Oasis de Los Comondú, Observé numerosos juveniles de Bufo punctatus (ver imagen asociada)
Didn't even see it until I got home later and reviewed the photos.
Western California Toad (Bufo boreas halophilus)
Dried specimen was discovered under a rock, bones did not seem to indicate any major trauma, so it doesn't appear to have been smashed under the rock.
A nice big Woodhouse's Toad with the perfect camouflage for his surrounding. Note the bumps on the body, which help in the identification of this toad (in this area). Sighted in the Petrified Forest National Park, slightly off the roadway. A day-time sighting of this nocturnal toad.
