Description

Saw two of this species. The first was squished flat by a Park Service truck in White Sands National Monumnet as I was observing it.

After a long night of road herping this guy was found living at the motel in Wilcox.

The Great Plains Toad (Bufo cognatus) is a relatively large species of toad. It ranges from southern Alberta, throughout the western United States, and into northern Mexico.
