Conditions were clear (20C, 70% humidity). Toad was found at Turkey Creek trailhead near picnic area and a wooden house structure. Toad was actively hopping before it was caught and photographed.
I think this is a defensive "look-big" posture, possibly due to me bothering it to take this picture.
In my opinion, I feel that the pattern and color on the back strongly suggests Anaxyrus Fowleri, however, the parotoid glands don't appear to bump up against the cranial ridges. Hybrid? Just looking for others thoughts.
