Brief description of what you observed
found in a "pond" in a large, mulched area
Conditions were clear (22C, 57% humidity). Frog was found sitting in the crook of two fallen branches about a foot above the ground, near a stagnant pool. Pool was located in a nearly-dry cypress swamp along the Turkey Creek trail. Frog was not moving when captured and was noticeably cold to the touch.
The green frog (Lithobates clamitans) is a species of frog native to the eastern half of the United States and Canada. The two subspecies are the bronze frog and the northern green frog.
