This strabomantid frog was found at night during a two week herpetological survey of the Napo Lodge region where numerous amphibians and reptiles species were observed.
Eleutherodactylus carvalhoi is a species of frog in the Leptodactylidae family. It is found in Brazil, Colombia, Ecuador, Peru, and possibly Bolivia. Its natural habitat is subtropical or tropical moist lowland forests.
