Description from Wikipedia

Amphipappus is a monotypic genus in the daisy family which contains the single species Amphipappus fremontii. It takes its scientific epithet, fremontii from John C. Frémont, and is known commonly as the chaffbush. This is a branching shrub which grows up to about half a meter in height. It is native to the southwestern United States, where its rounded clumps are scattered about dry, rocky areas.
