Description from Wikipedia

The Algerian Three-toed Skink or Seps Tridactyle De L'Algerie (Chalcides mertensi) is a species of skink in the Scincidae family. It is found in Algeria and Tunisia. Its natural habitats are temperate forests, temperate shrubland, Mediterranean-type shrubby vegetation, temperate grassland, and intermittent rivers. It is threatened by habitat loss.
