large beetles (about 1.5-2.0 cm long) were scurrying along the wet muds. Difficult to get a good photo, due to their high level of activity and the reflections of the sun on the mud and sand.
Cicindela repanda, commonly known as the Bronzed Tiger Beetle or Common Shore Tiger Beetle, is a tiger beetle that 10-13 millimeters long, lives in most of North America, and has three subspecies.
