Description

A plant that was in this case about 4 feet tall, with a stalk completely covered in spikes, topped off by multiple large, light green leaves. At the top of some of the leaves an upward flowering structure with multiple budding white flowers stood.

Large shrub with woody base that becomes green and spiky near the top. Leaves are very large and broad.

Oplopanax is a small genus of flowering plants in the family Araliaceae, consisting of three species of deciduous shrubs, native to western North America and northeastern Asia. Oplopanax is closely related to the Asian genus Fatsia.
