Field Notes - Found this juvenile hiding under our lounge while I was looking for Bowie the rabbit. We returned her/him to the backyard following a very quick photoshoot. Very handsome individual. Gecko felt cool to touch at 8 pm. Possibly had been "chilling" in the house all day until the bunny disturbed her/him.
Field Notes - the tail is more like a head than a leaf
Field Notes - inbetween a pile of pavers covered by afternoon shade, surrounded by ferns
OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA
We have never seen these geckos in the house before. We found it when we took a basket outside to empty it and there it was. The colour may reflect the colour of the carpet [do these guys change colour?] or just my camera being uncertain how to balance the colours here in the early evening.
I've seen a number of these in Laos.
Additional comments? - Saltuarius swaini; I cant complete the appropriate field due to some kind of error so have included the name here: geckos have been happily living in our garage (in the bush) for generations!
