Hi All,
I've worked as a botanist and mycologist in the Pacific Northwest in Northern California forests and coastal dune ecosystems from 2009-2013. I spent one summer in the south American Guiana Shield region on a mycological expedition identifying ectomycorrhizal fungi.
Most recently however, I have been working as a botanist and lichen specialist in the Arctic, Arctic-alpine and sub-Arctic ecosystems of Alaska and Baffin Island, Nunavut CA while finishing my M.Sc. in Plant Ecology focusing on primary succession in alpine glacial forelands in the Central Arctic Brooks Range.
I am interested in plant community interactions and symbioses and revel in the tiniest macroscopic plant and fungal life forms especially.
Recently I moved to Tri-Cities WA, to pursue a PhD in fungal-bacterial interactions in the rhizosphere of Switchgrass (Panicum virgatum) a grass being studied for use as an emerging biofuel.

I am excited to learn a new harsh-environment loving flora!
