Dr. Shawn K. Davis is an assistant professor in the Parks, Conservation, and Recreational Therapy Department at Slippery Rock University where he teaches courses in ecology and environmental education. Shawn’s Ph.D. research at Colorado State University involved investigating place-based educational strategies for communicating climate change in America’s National Parks and National Wildlife Refuges. His current research involves a collaborative project that partners rock climbers with bat biologists to discover roosting locations in Colorado. Outside of the academia, Shawn enjoys sailing, rock climbing, wine making and living sustainably with his family.
