🆔 About my observations

• If you need more pictures for an ID of my observation just ask. I often keep more photos than I upload.
• Edited photos (except cropped) are remarked in the Photos edited field (since winter 2025). In particular, I experimented with AI noise reduction, which are marked as upscale x1.
• I group observations of the same individual/pack/... (e.g. monitoring over time, or observed at the same time by multiple people) using the Identical/Group/Similar observation set field. Refer to the forum on how to use these.
• Rather rarely, I record videos, linked to in the Video link field.

👤 About me

Hi, I'm Leon.
I study physics and math in Heidelberg, Germany and I love nature as a hobby.
My first observation was the flower chafer in my profile picture in 2020, but then forgot about iNat. On Feb. 17 2025 I rediscovered it and came back to stay.
I'm active in my local NABU group and organized the CNC 2026 in my town.
I'm also an iNat Ambassador and Curator.
Recently, I started developing an experimental browser extension with some small QoL additions to the iNat website.
