Basing ID on similar observation by @christine123 (62682655) identified by @matthias22. Also BugGuide discussion indicating that there are only 3 species in this genus found in the eastern US and all are visually distinct.
I initially thought that I was seeing a hoverfly. So glad that I checked it out. A closer look said 'wasp'. Interesting; it has the obligatory red mite on it. Seeing tons of those, on everything. And - the similar observation referenced above has one too!
