In 2019, the Missouri River Bird Observatory (MRBO) and Burroughs Audubon Society of Greater Kansas City (BAS) launched a project in the Kansas City area to identify buildings that are particularly prone to window strikes by migratory and resident birds. The ultimate goal of this project is to partner with building owners and managers to implement strike-reduction measures on the portions of buildings that cause the highest bird mortality.
