The LAMS Biodiversity Survey is an opportunity for Los Alamos Middle School 7th graders to engage in authentic citizen science. By gathering data about the biodiversity we encounter in our community, we will be creating a storehouse of information about the current state of the Los Alamos ecosystem. Scientists can then use the data we gather for their own research projects. As members of the iNaturalist community, we can also assist other members by helping to identify their observations. Hopefully we all have fun while looking a bit closer at the biodiversity that surrounds and sustains us.
