Description
An old observation but a special one.
Taken a few minutes after birth. Must have missed the actual birth by a matter of minutes. Took the calf roughly 3 or 4 minutes to find its feet and then it couldn't get enough of running around, greeting all the members of the herd who all showed varying degrees of interest. It ran from member to member, greeting them with a sniff and then off to the next. The mother, obviously exhausted, had a well deserved rest while dad kept a watchful eye on the little one.
