Description
This large hawk settled on the powerline in the Presidio during a rainy day, sat for about four minutes, then flew off. Seemed to have bars on the tail, but I can't be sure it's not a red-tailed hawk. Didn't get a good view of it flying. ID support appreciated!
Update: thanks to those who tagged this as a Coopers Hawk, rather than a red-shouldered hawk. Appreciate the help!
