Durante el trabajo de remodelación del bosque de Chapultepec, se colectaron huevos de ajolote silvestres, de los cuales nacieron diez; cinco de ellos alcanzaron la edad adulta e hicieron metamorfosis, pero todos murieron.

No odor, taste strongly farinaceous. In well decayed hardwood and pine cones. Almost growing from soil. Cap and stem dry. Fragile. With white non-fluorescent rhizomorphic mycelium at stem base.
