carrieseltzer True Moose (Genus Alces)

it looks like there's some disagreement as to whether there are numerous species in this genus, or one species with many subspecies.

According to Wilson and Reeder (2005) Eurasian Elk (Alces alces) and Moose (Alces americanus) are recognized as distinct species. Alces andersoni was clumped within Alces americanus.

What does that mean for showing A. andersoni in the list of species within Alces in iNat? Should it be merged with the subspecies instance? (I'm new to curating taxa so I didn't want to make any of these changes myself).
